<text>This image is a 1916 view looking West across North Main Street with Sugar Loaf on the distant left and North Sugarloaf on the right.
The farm on the right served as the Oliver Williams Tavern from 1781 thru 1824. The original house was built in 1718, had later additions added and was taken down during the early 1960's along with all of the out buildings.
The house on the middle was built in 1718 and is the earliest extant house in Sunderland (October 2021). The house was used during the early 20th century to house workers for the Williams family farm.
The second image is of the tavern in December of 1916.
The third image is a view from the South in 1916.
The fourth image is members of the Williams family on a two horse carriage and the fifth image in their "Metz" car.
The sixth image is the tavern sign.
The seventh image shows the tavern site as of October 2021.
