Henry Hix is the servant of tavern keeper Lieutenant Fellows Billings, lot 11 East side. Hannah is 7 months pregnant at the time of this letter and has at least two children. Her son Henry was later born in September of that year. Three more of her children were born in Sunderland, the last being on February 9, 1765. It is not evident if this letter ever made its way to Albany and back, a distance of over 200 miles. If it did make the journey its existence today is all the more remarkable.
