"The Cummington Story" (showing Sunderland and Whately)
A 1945 video of World War II refugees immigrating into the town of Cummington Massachusetts. At place 12:36 and again at place 19:00 the towns of Sunderland and Whately can be seen from Mount Sugarloaf. Note the absence of route 116, Sunderland elementary school, both sewage plants and the UMASS towers. Also note the lack of auto traffic.
