Walter Kamys (1917 - 2013) lived on Cave hill road in Leverett and later on North main street in Sunderland. He painted this acrylic on canvass in 1966.
Walter painted portraits, landscapes and in the abstract and surrealist styles. He taught at the George Walter Vincent Smith museum and the university of Massachusetts. His works can be found in the Smithonian institute, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Brooklyn Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Swampfield Historical Society.
